ULTRAFILTRATION
Our patented NOVO SPRING hollow fiber membrane is provided by PSB Tech. The main advantage of the ultrafiltration hollow fiber membrane is its compact yet very large membrane filtration area.  The resulting purified water can be used in food, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, petrochemical and chemical, electronics, textile, electroplating and power generation industries.

Ultrafiltration is a low pressure membrane filtration technique that separates the larger molecules from the feed stream.  Under low pressure, water, salt and particles smaller than the membrane pore size (0.1 – 0.01-micron) will pass through the membrane as permeate.  The molecules, coagulates and suspended particles larger than the pore size of the membrane will be retained. 

Hollow fiber membrane is most commonly used for ultrafiltration and is asymmetric.  The membranes can be backwashed and this allows the membrane to maintain a consistently high flux.
